Mechanics

Additive manufacturing is widely used in the mechanical engineering industry. Thanks to 3D printing, functional prototypes or components for integration into complex structures can be produced quickly and cost-effectively. It is also possible to print components for tooling, such as custom-made clamping brackets, even in single pieces.

Using a 3D scanner, it is possible to reverse engineer parts very quickly and at the same time print a copy of the part in question. This helps to shorten the time required to produce individual spare parts or to recreate damaged components that are no longer available on the market.

Hydraulics | Pneumatics

The ability to create complex geometries that cannot be achieved using conventional manufacturing methods makes it possible to overcome construction limitations in the hydraulic and pneumatic sectors. Using MIM-type filaments, it is also possible to obtain functional parts in sintered metal, including, for example, AISI 316L, a stainless steel that is perfect for marine applications.

Electronics

The ability to quickly produce functional prototypes or small series of components facilitates the creation of products for the electronics industry. Additive manufacturing makes it possible to streamline the list of components to be kept in stock and allows for greater freedom in product design

The possibility of manufacturing components with ESD (Electronic Discharge Safe) materials allows for the creation of safe shells or enclosures even for electronic boards or delicate components. Conductive filaments for 3D printing are also available, allowing for the inclusion of transmissive parts within printed components, which are extremely useful for creating devices with sensors, for example.
